This summer, Four Seasons Hotel Megève is inviting guests to delve into the world of astronomy with three new cosmic-inspired experiences.
Excitingly, Four Seasons Hotel Megève has also just received three Michelin keys, the highest rating, in the Michelin Guide’s Michelin Keys for France. Only 24 establishments in France have been awarded Three Michelin Keys, positioning Four Seasons Hotel Megève amongst some of the world’s very best hotels.
Why Astronomy? This year is big, from mind-boggling eclipses to spectacular meteor showers – plus, scientists are predicting the best displays of the northern lights in 20 years as we approach the next solar maximum (the sun’s peak of its 11-year activity cycle). Megève’s alpine setting provides the ideal conditions to admire the stars and cosmic marvels that light up the night sky.
The new cosmic experiences at Four Seasons Megève include:
Celestial Wonders Star Gazing Evenings: A French feast will be prepared for guests to enjoy al fresco under the stars with a telescope and a seasoned astronomer who will share fascinating insights about the secrets of the universe at 8pm on Mondays in July and August.
Full Moon Sound Bathing Sessions: Taking place in the hotel’s open-air geodesic dome at night, participants will embark on a transcendent Tibetan bowl voyage under the night sky. The Sound Bath experience is designed to release accumulated tension, soothe the mind, and promote deep relaxation on 21st July and 19th August.
A Night Above the Clouds at the Ideal Suite 1850: Accompanied by an experienced astronomer from the Mont d'Arbois observatory, guests will uncover the secrets of the cosmos, learning all about galaxies, nebulae and star clusters using cutting-edge equipment. Located at an altitude of 1850 metres away from the village on a secluded mountain, The Ideal Suite is the highest suite in the resort, providing a tranquil sanctuary for stargazing, a delicious, private Savoyard dinner and a restful overnight stay from the 14th June onwards.
