Welcome to our March/April issue! I love writing this issue partly because I adore spring weddings, but it also coincides with the beautiful bridal collections being released. I got married a few years ago, and while I like the idea of trying on lots of stunning dresses, I also know how stressful finding the perfect gown can be. I had no idea what style I wanted, but after lots of trial and error, my wonderful consultant helped me pick my dream A-line design. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the amount of choice available, make sure you listen to your consultant. They have years of experience and have helped brides of every shape and size find their dream gown, so they will know what looks good on you even if you don’t yourself. Go to your appointment with a rough idea of what you like, but try to keep an open mind. On paper, it might not be what you want, but it might still be the one. If you’re not sure where to start, we’ve put together a dreamy fashion section to help give you heaps of inspiration.

| Where To Wed In... Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells |

Hotel Du Vin Tunbridge Wells
Located in the splendid Kent countryside, Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells is an elegant oasis set within the historic spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells. The hotel, which occupies a Grade II listed sandstone mansion, offers a unique mix of traditional grace and modern style.
Beyond being a place for relaxation and gastronomy, Hotel du Vin Tunbridge Wells is also a perfect venue for weddings, meetings, and special events. With a range of stylish and versatile event spaces, including a beautiful terrace and an enchanting vineyard in the warmer months, your event can be tailored to your exact needs.
Inside, the hotel has retained the building’s Georgian features, and boasts 34 bedrooms, bistro, bar and private rooms. Outside, the gardens and terrace, are the perfect place for a Champagne reception with the beautifully manicured lawn as the backdrop.
Lombard is a classically designed room that’s both large and versatile. It draws its decorative influences from the world-famous Hall of Mirrors found in the central gallery of the Palace of Versailles. The many sash windows flood the room with natural daylight, while providing views over the hotel gardens. Put simply, it’s an inspiring place to be and an inspired wedding venue. The wedding breakfast seats up to 84 people, and reception up to 120 guests.
Perfect for smaller, more intimate celebrations, Havana is flooded with natural light through French doors that open directly onto the garden, where guests can enjoy rum-based cocktails such as a Mojito or Cuba Libre in the cigar shack — it’s Havana after all! — all the while taking in the wonderful views over the garden. A wedding breakfast in Havana seats up to 24 people, while a standing drinks reception up to 45 people.
Named after one of the world’s most famous wine estates, Mouton Rothschild is the smallest and most intimate room, with seating for up to 14 people. Like Havana, this cosiest of spaces basks in plenty of natural daylight from French doors that open out onto your own exclusive veranda and the lawns beyond.
When it comes to food, relaxed, attentive and French bistro-inspired, couples can choose from set menus, or create a bespoke dining experience with its talented head chef. From simple or intricate canapés to wedding breakfasts, to informal buffets to five-course sit-down dinners, every mouthful is prepared using fresh, seasonal ingredients wherever possible.
