Gusbourne's winery is currently a blur of high-vis jackets and whirring forklift trucks. In the vineyards, the pace is slower, with pickers moving meticulously through the rows. With just a week of harvest left, all the signs point to an exceptional 2023 vintage. Once the frenzy of activity has subsided, the team like to mark this pivotal point in their calendar with an intimate Harvest Lunch.
This year, this special event will be held on Saturday 11th November; tickets are now available for £115 per person. Your host, Laura Rhys Master Sommelier, will take you behind the scenes of the 2023 vintage, giving you a chance to taste wines from tank and barrel and talking you through the winemaking decisions made. You’ll then enjoy a guided tasting of wines from the cellar, with a selection of bottles which Laura feels really showcase the influence of vintage in the glass. After the tasting, you’ll enjoy a celebratory and seasonal three-course lunch, perfectly paired with more Gusbourne. It's the perfect opportunity to sample some local wines for your wedding and enjoy a treat while you do so!
