Earlier in the autumn Your Kent Wedding editor Kelly paid a visit to Penshurst Place & Gardens near Tonbridge and was given a tour of the impressive historical venue's wedding spaces by charming hospitality manager George. Click play or scan the QR code to take the tour with her and find discover the options that lie in wait, ready to host your big day.
Set in an estate of 2,500 acres, the 14th-century house and formal gardens are steeped in natural splendour and historical architecture. With sandstone walls and an impressive sweeping driveway, Penshurst Place has been described as the perfect combination of an inspiring castle mixed with an intimate country manor house. From the Baron's Hall built in 1341 to Kelly's favourite space, The Sunderland Room, and the star of the venue's al fresco show, The Nut Garden where Kent's famous cobnuts grow, you're spoilt for choice and flexibility.
As well as the showstopping highlights you'll see in the video venue tour, also available for your "I dos" is Lancup Well (200 ceremony guests). A gorgeous lakeside location it's a short distance from the manor house and offers views of the surrounding parkland estate. Here, you can enjoy a blessing amongst fine topiary as the sun dapples the surface of the lake. And for celebrations, there's also the Garden Room (93 ceremony, 74 dining, and 100 for dancing), just a few steps from the main house.
